Healthy cocktails to ring in the New Year

Who says Vitamins are no fun? Our Super B Complex, with it’s tasty flavor, is a great ingredient to add to your favorite smoothie, cocktail or mocktail recipe! With the added benefits of B vitamins but no added sugar, you’ll feel better the day of and the day after a big night. But don’t take our word for it, test it out for yourself. Lack a favorite recipe? Here are a few ideas to get you started! (We had a great time coming up with these!)

Pre-Party Energizing Smoothie

Super B Complex Liquid ShotDon’t you hate it when New Years Eve comes and you’re ready to ring in the new year with a bang but you hit a wall at about 10:00? Yawns begin to take over and all you can think is “how am I going to make it to midnight!?”. We have the perfect and healthy solution to your dilemma. Try this smoothie before you head out for the evening to make sure you don’t miss the countdown! 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pineapple cubes*
  • 1/2 cup mango cubes*
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 oz Super B Complex
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 handful of spinach (optional but you won’t even taste it!)
*Substitute frozen or fresh berries for more antioxidants!

Instructions

  1. Blend together until smooth and creamy.
  2. To make half of it green: Pour half of the orange mixture into several glasses.
  3. Mix the remainder with a big handful of spinach.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Pour over the orange mixture and serve!

Who says cocktails have to be loaded with sugar? Here’s a healthy twist to any cocktail / mocktail recipe that includes orange juice. Simply swap out orange juice for one half to a full ounce of Super B Complex. You’ll get lots of flavor, electrolytes for energy and recovery, and no added sugar! 


Champagne Mimosas


Ingredients:

  • 4 oz champagne, cava or proseco
  • .5 oz Super B 


Instructions: 
Pour one half ounce (half a lid full) of Super B Complex into a glass of your favorite champagne, cava or proseco. Stir ever so slightly. Enjoy!

Super B Fizz


Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Vodka or Gin
  • .5 oz Super B Complex
  • 3 oz seltzer water, club soda (Still water also works if you prefer a more traditional screwdriver type of cocktail).
  • Ice


Instructions:
Fill a highball or tall glass with ice. Pour in vodka. Add Super B Complex. Fill the rest of the glass with sparkling or still water of your choice.


Morning After
Feeling a little sluggish from the late night and over imbibing? Start your day with a shot of Super B Complex and you’ll be back on track in no time! Feel better and have more energy throughout the day. Simple. Straight Forward. And doesn’t require any effort. 


Ingredients: 

  • 1 oz Super B Complex


Instructions: 
Pour one ounce of Super B Complex into the cap or a glass and bottoms up!


Summary:
Like anything, be responsible and enjoy in moderation. Whether you’re making a mocktail, a smoothie or an alcoholic beverage (with or without B vitamins), don’t overindulge as you’ll feel the effects. If you are hoping to add in some B vitamins through a fun beverage recipe, limit it to one full ounce of Super B Complex per day. There’s no benefit to having more than that in a day. That said, you will benefit from taking Super B Complex both the day of and the day after. Since the body doesn’t store B vitamins, it’s important to consume them daily.


Bonus:
B vitamins will brighten your day in many ways so you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the bright color you see when you visit the loo ~ a simple, yet refreshing reminder that you on track to a healthier you.
